T is for Team, & F is for Fascinate
So last night I did my first 3 hour shift (with an hour of training beforehand) of live Video Camera work for the International House of Prayer!! I was in control of Camera #4 between 9PM and Midnight, and a lot of my shots went live for the entire world to see, and I definitely caught several of my good friends dancing their hearts out before the Lord.
Sooo much fun :) .. its awesome being apart of a team, learning experience, having a specific role, working with the other cam-operators and the producer who controls which feed to send live. Its so awesome when you hear "Cam 4, going live.." in your headset and you pan-pull across a group of singers with pressure perfect hand motion on a joystiq, and then when its all done, you fling it to the next shot to find, not even breaking a sweat, working to make the shots varied.
Lemme give you a little breakdown of what i do as Cam-Op @ the Awakening Services;
I use a remote control joystiq device to move my camera (#4) around the audotorium (about 100 yards away from the media trailer). The Joystiq has manual focus options, so theres that to keep track of as well as panning, zooming and composing your shots. Thankfully there are 4 memo buttons on the joystiq as well that you can save predetermined Camera compostions and Focus settings to, so that as you view the overall gallery of shots being fed from the operators to the producer, you can press one button and race the viewfinder back to a position that isnt being filmed in the scene.
Its mega-awesome-fun, especially when the team pulls off sweet shots, transitions and amazing moments live, set to music and on cue with speakers and crowd reactions. Its also a lot of fun when we have a static camera filming to kind of roam around and find fun filler shots of the crowd, or just notice people doing interesting or wierd things, hah. For example we noticed a guy filming on his iPhone a lot and sent security to have a word with him because thats a rule is no video taping (pictures aloud, but no flash).
- On another note I was just in the prayer room reading some homework and got particularily struck by a passage of the book, which i would like to share with you:
"The beauty of the Lord has been ordained as the occupation of god's people... We have earthly promises and mandates to be fufilled in our lifetimes. Some of us will pastor congregations, some will feed and minister to the poor, others will serve as conduits of funds to further God's purposes. While these are God-ordained assignments for the life, none of these assignments will last forever. In those roles there is a God-given measure of satisfaction, but at some point those assignments will be complete. As immortal souls operating in a mortal world, we must look for something eternal to fascinate our hearts that are designed to live forever. And we must cultivate it now."

We must set our overall gaze on the beauty of the Lord :)

Commitments from Joy
Soooo.. taking a break from the prayer room to tell about my day which has two major outcomes:
1. I'm committed to doing Track II of INTRO to IHOP-KC!
2. I'm committed to being apart of the team from IHOP that is going to Japan on a missions trip!
Now you are surely wondering one of the following "wow, track what? Japan missions trip?" or "how can you commit to something you don't have the means to do?"
Well to answer the first question: Track II is the continuation of Track I of INTRO to IHOP-KC (the track I am currently in) and is more focused on Justice, Outreach and Practical Ministry Application of the many things we've learned within Track I. For example we will get 24 Hours of training in Healing and Prophetic ministry and then 24+ hours of leading in those fields. We will also do prophetic treasure hunts, street evangelism and similar such things once a week. Another unique teaching in Track II is Forerunner Partnership Development (FPD) which teaches and coaches missionaries on how to set up a partnership system to enable them to live a lifestyle of giving even out of their serving.
Japan is an answer to a prophetic promise God made to me this year; that this year i would go to the nations to serve Him. This started way back at the turning of the new year at the Urbana 2009 missions conference. While i attended that, god gave me a huge desire in my heart to go to the nation of Japan in the short term and longterm missions field. Well a lot of stuff has happened this year (including an early short lived attempt to go to Japan with YWAW that wasn't God's timing) and now I'm out in a far away land growing in God's word and strengthening myself, and yet still the year is coming to a close and there were honestly a few thoughts in my head such as "Am I sure I heard God right? Yes.. but then how is this going to happen??" Well, through a series of events and fun meetings I ended up meeting some new friends out here in Kansas City who have been to Japan several times on missionary work and are planning another trip there in December (the last possible month of this year... ironic!!!). .. and then they invited me to pray about coming!! WOAH!!
Well without wanting to jump the gun on it, I've taken a few weeks to pray about it and have simply come to this conclusion; God wants me to go. He wants His bride in Japan to know Him, and not enough people are being invited to the wedding feast. Theres no way this passion inside of me is of my own flesh. :-)
And to answer the second question: Thats easy, people do it all the time with things they believe are necessary and God appointed. For example, raising a Child. Yes it helps to prepare as much as possible (which requires a commitment as early as possible, which is what I'm doing!), but mostly you have to have Faith and a willingness to give it your ALL to see the mission through to raise the Child into adulthood, and thats the stance I'm taking with this season of my life. Trusting God in Faith, giving it my all. Seeking, asking and knocking at the door till I'm walking through it into the next season of my maturity in Christ.
More details coming soon as I get them.
With eternal love and eternal thanks,
Jeffrey Scott Simonson

Something Beautiful
So I got some good news and some bad news.
Bad News: Lost my wallet and broke my fast early.
Good News: I lasted 5 and a half days!! ... and when i started my fast i got before Jesus and said "Hey Jesus, I'll do this one week fast 'cause i want to, but I'll make fasting a weekly devoted thing if you come meet me with Intimacy and Power!"
Oh boy. Did he?
YUP!!!
Not only did I get a LOT of awesome revelation on subjects, anointed prayer time (crying/laughing during a 30 minute session in the GPR??!)... but mostly, Thursday night at the Awakening Service..
Got there at 6, decided I was gunna go straight upto the front lines and just be me n' Jesus :)
Long story short Holy Spirit came and gave me lots of laughter, and a crazy tingling sensation through my whole face, neck, and almost to my shoulders. I couldn't understand it. I've been waiting almost a year now to expierence the Spirit in a undeniably tangible way, and wow... I could never explain that off as anything but supernatural. Anyways, I eventually left the front lines 'cause I had been standing/sitting there for hours in one place. I went and found my friend Brett and brought himoutside and was like "Dude I dunno what just happened but but... wooooahhh!"
Then it got worse and I felt drunk (but strangely sober and aware of everything as well). It was amazing.
A similar but lesser thing happened the next night as well, and many other small blessings.
Oh goodness :)
Love my savior!
Monday, yesterday!!:
My day off! I spent a lot of it reading, doing homework, starting to stress then praying about it, and mostly hanging out around & inside the Global Prayer Room (GPR). It was AWESOME. I did my firest rapid-fire prayer line during a one-hour Tokyo iontercession set. Praying boldly in front of hundreds of people feels Crazy!
Anyways, I'm in class right now and I ought to pay attention :)
Love ya'll
Jeffrey

So here I am at a computer Finally :)
Im not gunna even try and remember what day what happened. So here we go!
We had an awesome guy come in who taught on forgiveness. He was born in a Death Camp in Nazi germany... nuff said. I cried a good amount during the end of it. Felt sooo good.
Yesterday or whatever we had a guy come in and teach a bit on financial partnering, which is something that will heavily be integrated into Track 2 (yeah theres 2 tracks, they started it recently) It was well :)
Today was pretty rad as well :)
Went to the prayer room for an hour and then the Track 2 Interns took two hours to prophecy over Track 1. Got a bunch of good words !! Try and upload 'em soon, can't right now without the cord.
Then at 6 we went back to the GPR for four hours and when I got there the power was out so we had bout an hour and half of super dark un-plugged worship and praying. :) Amazing.
Oh and i never updated about the kiddies! I got to assist-lead yesterday for 4.5 hours.. kind of on accident haha. It was super tough cuz i was tired and getting over being sick but it was so worth it getting to pray over personally almost all of the 40-ish kids. Many of them recieved phrophetic VISIONS during worship as well. It was Seriously-AMAZING.
Anyways, I finally feel better! All my class notes are online as are my teachings (in recorded audio form).
Ask me if you wan't access, and yes thats allowed :)
Oh and it wouldn't be life if there wasnt some girl stuff, but I made a one year vow to the Lord, not-to-mention rules are rules and NO dating allowed. So no real issues there, but just trying to keep my heart gaurded, etc. It really feels like a test from the Lord, which is good. Not much more to talk about there, but as always feel; free to email/txt me bout anything :)
Lastly; kinda personal but God has given me crazy grace and lust has nearly disappeared entirely from my life.
Pray for:
Sleep
Interpretation of Dreams
Will to Fast
Finances
Supernatural Memory
PS - we had a 'Book of Revelation' quiz and my team lost. Dang :/
-Love,
jeff

An Amazing Begining
Sunday!: went to church service at 8:30 and it started raining reeeeaaally hard midway thru, then hailing and Thundering and stuff so loud the wonderful preacher lady had to stop and 'not try and compete with God' haha. Her message was great about remembering to love god etc. I didn't get to hear it all cuz at 10am I had to jam over to the childrens center where I was scheduled to serve. and it was raining n' thundering HARRRDD!
So i was assigned to help lead the 6 through 12 year olds, which turned out to be amazing cuz I still have the heart of a lil boy in many ways! Even though since it was our first day and we mostly just observed in the midst of the kiddies, we participated in a awesome boys vs girls bible quiz, had a 45 min kid-led worship session, and then an hour of teachin/preachin! twas aweesome! can't wait to get involved with them and atch em grow into fiery teenagers for God (:
I can't remember what happened sunday night yet haha.. except forr that later i took cool pictures of clouds and went over to my friend Jared's place, put a bunch a music on my MP3 Player and watch a MOVIE TIL WAY-TO-LATE.
Monday: Dropped off my house-mate (Awesome Canadian guy!) at the aiport (sadface). Then me and jared went and drove way too long and far for hamburgers n' Frozen Yogurt.. MMmmMMmmMmmmm. Followed by 6:30 personal prayer room time I opted in for to pray for James Poole and also to write that letter.
Tuesday: What an awesome day! We learned about the Spirit of Elijah (in blazing no-AC heat) then wen't to Burger King, had my first Kansas City Pool expierence involving mostly passing a ball back and forth using headbutts. Then I fell asleep in class from exhaustion... Which was lame and coulda thrown my entire day off, but the Lord had other plans. We then (2 hours later) had small group with our team (group 4) and had an amazing pasta dinner with lots of dessert :) MMmMMmm!!! (i like food!)
Then our small group leaders Tim & Jon shared their testimonies.
Jon's testimony rocked our hearts especially, and at the end one of the members, my friend Brett, was literally weeping over this dude 'cause of the Holy Spirits passion and me and him wen't and laid hands on Jon and blessed him and his family. It was super powerful :-)
Ahhh! SO GOOD!
Wednesday (today!): We just learned about being a forerunner in the endtimes and how to stay strong and be a messenger. He gave us 3 big points on how to do that, which I really wanna share with you :)
Also on an endnote, all of our teachings are recorded on Audio MP3 and our notes are online, and i can share them with you.
Lemme know if you wan't in on anything I speak about ;)
Lots more to tell, but that would be worthy of a phonecall, especially the heart issues & redemption.
Love you SO SO SO SOOOO MUCH, blessings on your life,
Jeff Simonson

It was Beautiful. I still get excited thinking bout it.
Ok ok so!
That night: the Awakening service. I mostly sat there, read my bible and prayed for a few people :) but the time ended reaaaly happily with Allan Hood baptizing a bunnnch of people the me and two my new friends went to Sonics =)
Update about Sunday in be t update lol. This takes toooooo long to type when I need to sleep hehe

Wow so.. About novemberish last year 'the wine' broke out (the Holy Spirit) at IHOP and that's where the Awakening services came from.. Anyhoo last night it not only continued as it has been but it came in a second harder wave..
I really can't describe it entirely other than the place was crazzzyyyy... Lots of manifestations. The band was going crazy too.. They did like a 30 minute drum duel with Congo vs. Percussion!
Jesus was on me too big time! ..not as much with the wine per say but I got a chance near the start to pray for my new friend Ceara and I just got filled with these crazy feelings, joy, laughter and a bit of crying. My hand was shaking.. And I kept trying to stop it lol, Cuz I don't like to fake things like that haha. But I tell you... I have not been in the 'mood' to do such things at All... There's no way what I felt was me.
And so by this point there's several of us praying for her and shes later all the way back on her chair seemingly under duress and couldn't even speak when we asked what was happenening. Eventually she managed the word Jesus.
Long story short we all got the same phropbetic picture of her delivering a baby and an undoing of the past. It was crazy...
I prayed for a few others and had to stick around 'til 10 but I think I was just mentally done after that. Which kind of sucks ! Cuz I missed out on the biggest church dance party ever. Well partly I didnt feel free to dance haha. I pray that God releases me soon of that... I mean anyone who knows me oughta know I love to dance crazy. Probably more than most people!!
Anyhoo I did feel a Lotta freedom come out of these last two days and am believing that its gunna be my turn soon to get blasted... Just praying his perfect will be done!
Written from his breakfast table before the start of the day,
Jeff Simonson

Re-demption
Hmm hmm hmmm! Yesterday was interesting!
ended up having to attend the awakening service from 6 to 10, and stayed til closing at midnight. kinda went through some tough stuff and some inner heart issues and today i feel a loooottt better (-:
Today we learned about baptism of the holy spirit which was a good refresher (big timeeee!!) and then we got to recieve ( which was awesome! ) and I got a word about digging to find my treasure and stuff which gave me tears! In my mind it really highlighted Japan and also (newly) Africa to me..... I gotta feeling! lol
I also feel like the Lord is gunna take me to Colarado sometime for something. Oh and in Japan, the city of Nagasaki and.. some city that starts with an "s" haha.
Also we got instruction on CEC (Children's ministry) and Ill be helping with 6 - 12 year olds during second service on sundays! Kinda scarred but mostly excited! V' been hearin stories about the young'ns bein totally Jesus fired up!
Anyhoo, just sittin round at IHOP locked outa my house for a bit lol!

Jul 7th
Well today we started the morning off with Worship and Prayer.. Which btw, was off the HOOK! :)
Totally met God big time and then prayed with 3 other girls from the internship ( theres about 90 of us total ) and God gave me awesome prophetic words for all of them! :) sooo Boss!
Anyways, we went on to learn about a few tools to use in helping us engage in the Prayer Room (Global PR, theres also a justice prayer room n' stuff) which was great of course, but I need to go over the notes later s'more.. It was good advice including reading passages and asking God/talking to him through the scriptures, and how to engage when its Interseccion time!
Also, Sunday 4PM is the Global Intercession set, Tuesday is Isreal Day ( contend for them, etc ), and Mondays @ 8PM is Human Trafficking Prayer time... So if any of those are on your heart, tune in online (mind the 2 hour time difference Cali )
I'm gunna try and buy a notebook to Log all my prayer room/class notes inside of too!
and lastly, I wanted to update ya'll on finances:
I've got my first Months rent and food covered ( HALLE...! ) And need $650 more to cover the rest of my rent. Food, M not super concerned about, Ive been eating amazing cooking Beans, Rice, Eggs, Toast and a few other simple things so far ( 34 bucks goes a long way when 60 eggs is 6 bucks..... ). I also have used that food blessing to feed my new friend Josh a few times.
This is a 10 page txt and my phone is typing about 1 letter per second via Lag from too much text.... haha.
-Love,
Jeff

Also HUGE thanks to all my other supporters, whom for now I'll leave anonymous just 'cause I havnt asked about sharing names etc..
Big thanks goes out to Ryan Corbett though, whose Zune HD I am borrowing for this trip and has supplied me with decent wi-fi usage and of course, major PHAT tunes! Got all the Jesus Culture I could ever need on this bad boy and a few Phil Wickham CD's to boot :)

Haha! So I'm in the prayer room right now and its been so awesome! God has not disapointed in here yet!! And j know I have yet to see the full fruits of my time here!! August so good.
Its such an excellent place to study the word and books! But really worship and Prayer are sweet here! Today J got some cool pasage in the bible telling how the Jews are blind to the new covenant and also I got some goodies about sonship and eteternal joy!
Coolest and wierdest part was when I shared one of these tidbits of info via text to my friend, it sprung a very lo g text convoy about the faith and it was so good I got to answer a lot of her questions! I know God has her in mind and I'm praying he would release his presence on her.
Today we learned about Unity in the body of Christ and why its important, etc. Blessing ministries regardless of their deficiencies or diferences in ministry focus or style!
Anywayz, I'm outs here, thanks for giving me a reason to type stuff, it helps to recap my time here!
